In October, while on tour, Luka and Stjepan and Dusan painted a half-size cello for the Huntsville (Alabama) Symphony's Painted Violin Society, which raises money for free family symphony concerts in North Alabama. This year, there will be concerts in Huntsville, Madison and Athens, Alabama, during the first weekend in March: http://www.hso.org/education-community/free-family-concert/
The cello will be auctioned at the annual Crescendo Auction on April 4th. http://www.crescendoughauction.org/
The Huntsville Times published an article in print and online this week about the auction and the cello:http://www.al.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2014/02/2cellos_put_paint_to_cello_to.html
The article also discusses a series of violins painted by another artist.
Here's a copy of the print version of the article. The text is the same but the image of Luka and Stjepan is different.Isn't the cello great?
